I’ve (accidently) teased you with the recipe forever. I posted the original recipe a while ago but I have been tweaking it ever since with most precise measurements and making it more like Starbucks’.
The Green Tea Frappachino
Ingredients:
- 1/2 c. ice
- 1/3 of a frozen banana
- a giant handful of spinach
- 1 teaspoon of matcha (this may vary depending on the strength of your matcha, just test to see what you like best)
- 1/4 c. coconut milk creamer
- 2 T coconut milk
- 1/4 t. vanilla extract
- 5-7 drops liquid stevia
- almond milk to adjust thickness (if needed)
I put all the ingredients in the blender in the order that I listed them.
First the ice
Then banana and a huge handful of spinach
Followed by the matcha
And the rest of the ingredients: coconut milk creamer, coconut milk, vanilla extract, stevia
Blend.
And if you’re like me, you grab your toast out of the toaster and schmear it with almond butter
Drizzle some honey over it
And, ahem, botch the cutting
Stop the blender and fill your ice cup with the green tea frappachino
Consume.
Enjoy! Please tell me if you try this recipe!!!!

I will try it tomorrow
Mmm that sounds awesome! Where do you find matcha?
You can find it at whole foods, but preferably at an Asian food market. It’ll be much cheaper at an Asian food market.
How tasty and gorgeous looking! I’d also love to know where you found that matcha.

Thanks for the recipe! I have the same question as Mary on where to find matcha.
LOVE THE TOAST
Looks soooo good!
Sounds and looks wonderful. Too bad I hardly have any of those ingredients on hand
I’m sure you can use regular creamer, omit the coconut milk for almond milk (will make it a bit more runny), use unsweetened green tea in liquid form instead of match, and any sweetener you like
Mmm…sounds like a healthy smoothie, for sure! I love that combo of green smoothie w/ pb toast. I’ve been using amazing grass, but its the choc flavor and I dont love the taste it adds to my smoothies.
I am defintiely going to try that recipe! I’ve never had a green tea frappachino. I’m looking forward to it!
This sounds faaabulous!
I must try it!
i would love to try that, but i don’t have matcha, coconut milk,..and a few other things. but i really am going to one day..you got me going with your stuff after i tried that almond butter + honey combo!
I’ve been wanting to try coconut creamer ever since seeing it on your blog a while ago, but I can’t find it here!
You can try a different creamer I’m sure. A rice-based one maybe?
Yum, yum, yum! This looks like a really delicious twist on the ever-popular green monster. I like those, so I’m pretty sure I’ll like this:-).
hey girlie!
LOVE the recipe sharing! i can’t wait to try it, matcha is the best!!
I hope you have a great weekend!
xoxo!
Mmmm, I want to make this! But first I need to find matcha…Can you only find it at the Asian Market or can it be found at Whole Foods?
It can be found at Whole Foods, but it was $40!!!!! It’s less than half that price at Asian food markets
Sounds great! I need to buy more matcha powder. I’ve been out forever…
This looks amazing! I am saving it for when I am back in the States…. not a reality here but it looks so good. Thanks for sharing the recipe!!!
Michelle that looks awesome! And it has greens in it!
Ok, so what kind of matcha is that, where’d you get it, and how much? I want some!!
xoxoxo
