The Party Before the End

Hey bloggies!

We’re creeping up on finals here at Oregon very quickly. The begining of the week was super stressful with a couple of project deadlines and getting the apartment for next year! We were supposed to camp out all night in front of the office, but never got there. Thankfully, things ended up okay and it looks like we have the place!

Though before I become a permenant resident at the library, I’ve been having so much fun recently.

My sorority had a sisterhood at a local skating place

It was like a flashback to the 90′s when I was in elementary school and we had skating parties.

I’m good on inline skates, but since those were an extra $3 I went with the retro 4-wheeled ones.

I had trouble at first

But eventually figured it out and was even able to cross my feet over themselves at the corners again.

Yesterday my sorority had our dodgeball philanthropy

Me and my future roommates

It was SUCH a blast. We got to coach one the guys of one of our favorite fraternities. Getting up at 7AM and running around all day was completely worth it.

Have a great Sunday!

What reminds you of the 90s or of your youth? The silly putty, sticky hands and glowsticks I saw at the roller skating place put me right back to 1995.

  1. Fun! Our sorority has such a weird philanthropy, we sell grilled cheese late at night on a Thursday night. Surprisingly we make a lot of money! I think a frat is having a dodgeball tourney for their philanthropy here soon.

Shows like “Clarissa explains it all” or any show on nickelodeon take me back to the 90′s instantly!

  2. How much fun!! Whenever I hear the Spice Girls or The Backstreet Boys I am in third grade again =), oh and sketchers commercials!

  3. The rollar rinks do for sure! HA. I absolutely loved them. Glowsticks are also way up there for real.

I haven’t been rollar skating in so long. Maybe that is something I’ll have to find a bunch of people and do ha. :)

  4. The 90′s seem so far away! I use to love watching all the Nick shows and what brings me back the most were the Spice Girls lol I was obsessed!!

  5. WOW i would have to say Saved by the Bell reminds of the 90s DEFINITELY.. and Full House!! i LOVED those shows!

  6. Haha this is so awesome! I actually haven’t even been roller skating since the 90s! The only rink in our city shut down ages ago. :( Other things that remind me of the 90s are beanie babies, the Spice Girls, mini backpacks, jawbreakers, and pogs… So many memories! :D

  7. I once got a sticky hand stuck to the top of our 20 foot vaulted ceilings. Whoops. My dad was PISSED!!!

    • My friend and I got one stuck 20′ high in her main entry way! Her mom was so annoyed especially because sticky hands seep oil onto the paint. Whoops.

  8. Gilmore Girls! :) Love that show — have all the DVDs and still watch em haha

  9. Boy bands! Definitely.

  10. Skating looks like so much fun! Ohh silly putty… I remember the days!!

  11. Yesss I remember we’d have special days where they’d give us the afternoon off school and take us rollerskating. So fun. Another thing that reminds me of childhood is waking up really early and eating cereal while watching cartoons. I feel like every kid did that!

  12. You are so pretty!

Do you like being in Sororities?
